The Accounting Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Muhammadiyah Jember (FEB Unmuh Jember), has committed to making a positive contribution to the society. With a spirit of service and social commitment, they have conducted two meaningful activities in Dusun Utara II RT 23 RW 01, Kalisat Village, Kalisat District, Jember. These activities encompass the Socialization of the Tax Awareness Poetry Movement (known as "Sadar Pajak") and various social service programs.
The Tax Awareness Movement, also known as "Sadar Pajak," is an effort to raise awareness among the community about the importance of paying taxes promptly and correctly. The Accounting Program at FEB Unmuh Jember took the initiative to organize this socialization with the aim of providing a better understanding to the residents of Dusun Utara II about their tax obligations.
The team from the Accounting Program at FEB Unmuh Jember provided an in-depth understanding of the types of taxes, the benefits of paying taxes, and the consequences of tax evasion. They patiently answered questions posed by the residents. This socialization aims to help the community understand how significance is their role in supporting local development through proper tax payments.
In addition to tax socialization, the Accounting Program at FEB Unmuh Jember also conducted various community service programs in Dusun Utara II. They distributed essential food packages to families in need, provided secondhand clothing, and free medical check-ups for residents. This is part of their efforts to improve the welfare of less fortunate communities in the area.
The Dean of FEB Unmuh Jember, Maheni Ika Sari, stated, "We are committed to actively participating in the development of the community around our campus. These tax socialization and social service activities reflect our determination to make a positive contribution to the residents in Kalisat."
These activities were warmly acknowledged by the residents of Dusun Utara II, who felt assisted and gained valuable knowledge about taxes. The Accounting Program at FEB Unmuh Jember plans to continue similar activities in the future to create a greater positive impact on the community.
